How do I reactivate? Keep getting message "ERROR! CHECK ACTIVATION

I recently changed my password. Since I have had trouble. I can not download from the library,. I can not open books in Adobe Editions 4.0. computer - Acer notebook; reader - Kobo.

Message: ERROR! CHECK ACTIVATION.  Need help!

Press Control-Shift-D (Windows) or Shift-Command-D (Mac OS) to deauthorize Adobe Digital Editions then you will be able to reauthorize.

I also have just run into the same thing. Any help would be appreciated. An it does state that I am authorized! Go figure.
