How to download a pdf from ADE into my device?

I bought a book from Google Books as an acsm file. I did some searching and found that I need to use Digital Editions to convert it into a pdf file. I did so and now I want this file on my device but I don't know how to, or if I can, download it into my device (tablet).

(I contacted Adobe Support and was told that author might not be allowing it to be downloaded?)

I don't understand much about these things so I need help in simple words.
