How to open password protected pdf in adobe digital edition

Hello, I have kobo who needs authorization from ADE to open protected pdf but it says the version can’t open it and to use adobe reader, please how can I update it? Please help me I have exam and I need to read it on kobo because I have eye problem and I can’t use my pc
