How to Test Install: Sample Files w/o Install?

Question

Pardon this question.  Isn't there a way to test the installation by viewing a sample book? I've installed ADE sucessfully (I think). If I use the sample e-books (Install and read) via http://www.adobe.com/products/digitaleditions/library/  I get an error.  Is there a sample e-book that can be downloaded without installing ADE as part of the d/l?  Thanks

If you want non DRM protected books, then you can use any epub or pdf file.

For a good source of both try Feedbooks

Another good source of no cost DRM protected books are public libraries. Overdrive provides a search for libraries that they serve.

However if you getting an error downloading the books from our sample library then there is a problem that you want to address. For tech support go to http://www.adobe.com/support/digitaleditions and click on the "Submit a web case" link.
