I can't change the acsm file to ADE

I can't get the default on acsm file to open with ADE.  It will let me change it to other programs which is of no help.  I have checked the program to be allowed with firewall.  I have Windows 7.

    How to set the default program?

    • Right click on the .acsm file.
    • Go to properties.
    • In the general tab, you will find "open with".
    • Click on the "change" button and set it to the ADE.
    • Click on the "Apply" button and ADE is set as default.

    Try re-installing ADE.
