i can't get digital editions to let me log in to authorise my computer, error message " e auth not ready, any ideas?

I'm trying to get this to allow me to share ebooks from my computer with my ereader, but this error just won't go away! I've reinstalled, I've rebooted, nothing helped. Any ideas?
