I cannot download books when buying in my smartphone with adobe digital editions app

Question

I have created an account for Adobe digital editions first in my laptop and then in my smart phone,both with the same email address and the same password.The problem is that although  I can buy and download books through my laptop I cannot do it through my smartphone.Is there any solution to this?

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.
