I cannot download e book from Kobo to my PC and then to my reader. States 'check activation'

Purchased an e book from Kobo. Will not download to PC. Message reads' check activation'. Never had this message before. I do have a new laptop but I did activate it with an Adobe ID.

    This is no help to you but am having same problem with a purchase from Google Play. Updated to latest Adobe Digital Editions version but still no help. Tried erasing authorisation but Adobe will not let me do this at the moment and suggests I try later.

    Thanks for this. I really just want Adobe to call me. I'm sure we could sort out in 5 mins. Very frustrated.
