I cannot find my kobo reader in the device list in ADE 3.0

My KOBO E-reader needs to authorize or be authorized with ADE before being able to use e-books with protection. However I cannot find my KOBO device in ADE 3.0 I see just the library list.

How can I find my device? the KOBO reader is connected to my iMac when I try to connect with ADE
