I cannot see my book in my computer only in my iPad, why?

I bought a book using my iPad, then I decided to pass on my iPad to my daughter but when I tried to open my book in my computer, I can’t even see my book on my account, nor in my library! I’ve followed every single instruction, suggestion, etc, that Adobe has given me and nothing. I’m extremely disappointed. I cannot buy the book again and I would’ve loved to pass on this device, but I need my book!

ADE seems to have a lot of flaws. If anyone out there knows how to solve this problem, pls help me. I have a Mac.
