I had an update to my computer and since then, I have not been able to open a downloaded e-pub book on my Nook. I get an error dialog "this book has been returned. Book not on record."

I had an Adobe Digital Editions update to my computer yesterday morning.  Since then, any new downloaded e-pub books show on my nook, but I cannot read them. The error dialog says "This book has been returned. Loan not on record."
