I have a new IPad. I have adobe reader. When I try to get into a book it says I need to activate my device. How do I do that? It comes up on my old IPad

I Have a new IPad.  i can get a book on my old iPad but on the new IPad it says I need to install my adobe ID.  I installed adobe reader but how do I install a new ID?
