I have an adobe ID but can't log in on Digital Editions with it. Only allow my 3M login to show

I've been trying to authorize my devices on Digital Editions but it won't allow me to use my Adobe Log In - will only show my 3M Cloud Library information. How can I get the Adobe ID back? I've uninstalled and reinstalled DE many times and I feel like I'm running in a circle
