I need to change the Adobe ID on my Kobo Arc

I accidentally created two Adobe IDs.  Adobe support team have merged them, but my Kobo Arc is now authorized by the "wrong" ID. I have been told that Ctrl-Shirft-E in ADE will bring up the activation dialogue for me to change the ID, but it doesn't.  What should I do?
