I still can not return an item. I get an error "License Server Communication Problem E_BAD_LOAN_ID

When the program looked like it was going to return an item the program stopped working and my internet disconnected. I get License Server Communication Problem E_BAD_LOAN when I try to return or delete.  My computer is authorized and I am able to borrow and drag books to my Kobo.. I just can not return them. I had a problem when I first dowloaded the program which I was able to solve myself  no thanks to the tech support for digital editions.  There is no point in asking them. They were totally useless to me.
