Impossible to read an ebook - Adobe Digital Editions crash

Hello, I bought an ebook and downloaded its .acsm file and saved it to my PC.
When I start Adobe Digital Editions the title and the thumbnail of the book appear correctly, but each time I click on the thumbnail and ADE starts the retrieval of the content, ADE crashes.
I restarted the PC, but the problem persists.
The problem arises only with that specific ebook, with that title and not with other.
Then I installed an app for ebook reading on the smartphone, signed in with my Adobe credentials and... on the smartphone the ebook works correctly, I can read it.
But I can't transfer th ebook on my KOBO 😞
