Invald user name or password message on my e-reader while trying to get registered

I am trying to enter my adobe id on my e-reader. I get a message that I have entered an invalid user name or password message. I know that they are both correct, I used them to log onto this site. Nook says this is an adobe issue. Does anyone know how to solve this?
