Question

Invalid Page message

I have ADE on my Sony eReader 650. It works fine, until today!

I have downloaded a few tech manuals in pdf format.

All open OK with 1 exception,( the important one...of course!)

All I get is Invalid Page message on the 650.

If I view the book on my PC or in the eReader library app, its fine, but the 650 fails.

BTW, the book is 22.4Mb in size. I cant find any refernce to a maximum file size.

Any Ideas, any one?

Thanks

Phil

It's possible that a portion of the one that won't open has text or

illustrations that are not supported by ADE. ADE's FAQ shows that only PDF

features through Reader level 5 are supported.

When I have difficulties with ADE, I solve my problems

with Calibre Ebook Management, which is a free programme and converts PDF files to Epub and many other formats. I hope this helps you. Bye

Thanks for the link to Calibre,

I have converted to ePUB, but still getting Page Error message. But it did make the file smaller, to 13.2Mb.

I don't know if it may work, but what about copying and pasting the text of the 'wrong' PDF file on Word, transforming it again into PDF (and eventually into e

Pub)? Maybe, after all these revolutions the new PDF is accepted. Maybe mine is a crazy idea, but who knows? Ciao!
