Is it possible to troubleshoot E_LIC_ALREADY_FULFILLED_BY_ANOTHER_USER ?

I am getting the following error when trying to open an eBook:

E_LIC_ALREADY_FULFILLED_BY_ANOTHER_USER

I know that the book has not been accessed by anyone else and that I only have one AdobeID. Is there a way to troubleshoot this issue? For instance to figure out what user the file is supposedly linked to? So far the retailer has not been helpful.
