Kobo connected - cannot see if ebooks is downloaded or not

Hi,

novice user here with my new Kobo colour.

Question about how to sync my Kobo with ADE.

Installation ADE on my W11 desktop is OK. I have eBooks in my ADE library.

Now to get them on my Kobo I connect the ereader with my PC with Kobo cable. So far so good.

Kobo screen goes black with message that the Kobo is connected to my PC.

I copy each file/ebook to the Kobo. Kobo screen remains black. Touch Kobo has no effect.

Q: I do not see that ebook is completely copied to the ereader. Until I disconnect my cable from the ereader. I see a cryptic message that ebooks are being loaded (?).

How do I know that the ebooks are completely copied? Do I need to check each invidual ebook on e.g. pages?
