Kobo ereader is not showing up on ADE

I'm trying to download netgalley books to my kobo clara hd but to no avail. I have already downloaded books to this kobo before. I had it authorized to the computer I'm using, but it still wasn't showing up. I deleted the authorization to see if that would help, to no avail. I've tried unplugging it, deleting and redownloading ADE, reauthorizing my desktop, everything I could think of, but nothing is working. Does anyone have any ideas to what I could do? I don't know what else could be happening.
