Kobo reader, issues with large PDF file

Hello!

Please bear with me. I think this is a Kobo problem, but Kobo support asked me to consult Adobe about it, so here I am.

On my new Kobo Clara 2E E-reader, I'm having trouble with a PDF file. This file, which is an image PDF file, has 1,347 pages and takes up 112.6 MB of space.

If I start at the beginning and try to page through it, after six or seven pages the Clara 2E kicks me out of the book (and marks it finished!).

I've tried using the scrubber to position myself a bit further into the book and then trying to page backwards, but I get to a point where it simply won't page back anymore.

I initially experienced this problem after loading the book (along with all my other books) through Digital Editions. Based on a Kobo support page, I tried deleting it from the Clara 2E and copying it directly onto the device in Windows using drag-and-drop. That didn't change anything; I still had the same symptoms.

What's also odd is that this book works fine on my Kobo Forma and Elipsa readers. I consequently suspect that this may be a teething problem with the Clara 2E, which is a new model, but if anyone here has any insights to share, I'd be happy to hear them.
