Library book and other issues

everytime ADE upgrades it crashes constantly and have an issue reading borrowed library books on my Kobo device. 

Getting very disgusted with these constant problems. 

Most recent Upgraded to version 4 several previously borrowed books would not open on Kobo device, deleted them and redownloaded them from library site same thing, they opened in ADE but after transferring to Kobo got authorization erro.
