License Server Communication problem

I have a problem opening epub books in Adobe Digital Editions.  I keep getting the message "Unable to download.  Error getting License.  License Server Communication Problem.  E_ADEPT_NO_TOKEN".  How can I fix this?

    E_ADEPT_NO_TOKEN appears if you have Purchased a book which is set as Loan or if you have Borrowed a book which is set as Buy. Please contact the Library to check for the store or ACS server setting of that book.
