linking nook to laptop to open library books on both devices

I originally could download and open library books either on my laptop or my nook.  I had accidentally uninstalled ADE from my laptop.  when i reinstalled it, It asked if I wanted my downloaded content reloaded. I said yes.  Now, tho', I can only open a book from a library EITHER on the nook OR the laptop.  It will not let me open both places like before.  B&N techs told me it's not their problem.  Does anyone know how to get the nook and laptop on the same page again?

    Called my local library  CTL Shft D deauthorized my laptop to allow me to re-authorize it. Because I had a previous laptop and two Nook Devices, only 5 authorizations are allowed. Thank goodness the library has real people to talk to.
