"Loading Library" Does Not Stop

ADE 4.5.11

When opening the program "loading library" appears but never loads the library of just shy of 300 items. Tried a reinstall and the issue persists. 

Only use ADE for library downloads through Overdrive to add to a Kobo device.

Found previous thread of suggestions but was not sure if they remained correct (thread was years old) and do not want to corrupt the library or the Kobo.
