Mac ADE 4.5 My downloads disappear when I close the program

Everytime I close the program my downloads disappear and I have to redownload the two books I currently am using for school.

    It happens the same to me. Every time I enter in the the program, I have to download the ebook. When I close the program, I lose all the notes and highlighs.  Any suggestions for fix this?
