My ADE can't find the internet connection to authorize my PC and/or reader. Can anyone help?

My internet connection works perfectly. Yet, ADE can't find it when I want to authorize my PC and/or device to download an ebook. Does anyone know how to solve this? 'Cause I really need that book for school...
