my digital editions has stopped working

My adobe digital editions reader has suddenly "stopped working".

It was working fine then when I tried to open it I got a banner say "digital editions stopped working ".

I have gone into the firewall and told it to allow this app. through, but still the same banner when trying to start it.

The only thing that has happened is that my windows 10 has done an update.

Can anyone assist me with solving this problem?
