.Net Framework error message

Trying to download newest version of ADE, but refuses to totally install because of an error message that I must install a version of .NET Framework v4.0.30319. Tried to install this, but not fix problem. What to do?

    Greetings.

    Get an older version of Adobe Digital Editions.

    Version 3 works for me, on Windows 7 32-bit.
