No Menu Options in Digital Edition on Mac

Hi!

I downloaded Digital Editions on my Mac. When I open it, Digital Editions open into my library.  However, there is no menu options. There is no option to authorize my computer.  I am unable to open books I downloaded from my library on my Mac. There is no menu on the version on Adobe Digital Editions that I downloaded.  I deleted it and rein When I try to open files I downloaded, I get the following error message:
