No permission to read a book I purchased

Hello,

I purchased a book from Google play which is part of my Uni curriculum.
I tried copying it over, using Digital Editions 3, it said "NO PERMISSION TO COPY."
So, I deactivated the authorisation on my kobo then my computer, and reauthorised and tried again.
Same message.

Why is this happening? I just want to get my homework done.
