not all pages are readable

every other page appears to be blank. i have downloaded an ebook onto adobe digital additions and i can not see the content on every other page. when i highlight the non-existent content there appears to be textboxes but no words. i have an exam on tuesday and this is the textbook i need to study. please help asap
