Notes on Expired Borrowed EBook

Question

I  borrowed a book in which I highlighted and wrote notes and comments. After the book expired,  I borrowed it again from the same online library but  instead of unlocking the book with all the notes and highlights I now have a new version of the same book in my library. Is there a way to unlock the version of the book which has all of my notes and comments in it?

Hi,I know I'm coming at this post a year too late, but for anyone else looking at this with the same issue, I found that setting your device's date back to before the loan expired will get you access to your notes. Even though they will expire again, it is a quick fix if you need to access them for class or want to save them elsewhere!
