Oops! This document couldn't be opened

I have been trying to resolve this error message on my Kobo. The books transfer easily on my Kobo and I can read the books on Digital Editions on my computer, even opening from my Kobo source.

The Kobo customer service has walked me through de- and re-authorizing both my Mac and Kobo; haven't been able to make any progress. The Adobe service pushed their responsibility to the forum, unfortunately I see a lot of similar issues on this forum.

If anybody has found a solution please forward.
