Opening books

I recently got a new computer and am trying to read my books on it with Adobe Digital Editions.  I previously was able to read all of my books on Adobe Digital Editions on my old computer. 

However, when I try to open my books on the new computer, I get an "E_ADEPT_SIGNIN_CONNECTION_EXCEPTION http://adeactivate.adobe.com/adept/SignInDirect aldiko-feedbooks https://adobe.feedbooks.com/AdobeAuth" error message.  I do have an Aldiko account, which I am unable to authorize on my new computer, but I am now getting this message for all my books, including those that should be able to be opened with my Adobe account. 

I tried deleting the ADEPT folder from the registry several times, but it did nothing.  I verified the clock, and it is correct.  I went to the second website, but it seems like it's not working correctly either.

So I now cannot open any of my DRM-protected e-books on my computer.  Can anyone help?
