Please help! Can't download books. E_ADEPT_XML_SYNTAX

Unable to download.  Error getting license.  License server communication problem:  E_ADEPT_XML_SYNTAX

I get this error everytime I try to download a book, whether it is from Adobe as a sample or from my library.  My library had a couple suggestions:  firewall and adjust time zone and date and time on computer if it wasn't correct.  All of these are fine and I can get to the page that I wouldn't be able to get to if it was a firewall issue.

    Exactly the same issue here.

    A few weeks ago, I could download whatever I wanted, with exactly the same software on exactly the same computer.

    What should I do?
