Please rethink how this program works

Adobe owes me 270€ for books I have bought. At two times now, my Kobo Ereader has erased all my books when new firmware has been released. The first time it happened was about a year ago when I was traveling without my computer. When I got home I was able to download and transfer them to my Ereader. The second time was today. After download of my books .acsm files from Google books I now get E_GOOGLE_DEVICE_LIMIT_REACHED when I open the files in ADE .

I now own a lot of books that I cant transfer to my Ereader. 

I understand the need for a DRM protection but why do I need authorise books that already has been authorised on both my PC and my Ereader? 

ADE is a nightmare.
