Pop-Up notes - Any limitation as to the number of notes per epub?

Hello,

I am using ADE to read EBOOKs in languages other than my mother-tongue and am adding several pop-up-notes with translation remarks. Having inserted a few dozens of these notes, ADE is often-times not responding for quite a long time. How could this issue be solved? Or do I have to extract my pop-up notes in order to have them available elsewhere outside the ADE-environment?

I hope my problem is properly described. Any help is very much appreciated. Thank you in advance
