Why isn't there a button that I can click on that takes me to the previous page?  For instance, often I click on a link that takes me somewhere else in my epub magazine.  There should be a button I can click on to take me back to the previous page I was on.  Calibre as well as other epub readers have this feature and it is great!  Please add this as it is very frustrating. 

Also I just want to say thanks as this is the best epub viewer I have found when it comes to annotation.  Keep up the good work!  I would love to be able to use this program as the one and only app for epubs in the future!

The reason is that Adobe knows they'll continue to make money from publishers until someone convinces them there's a better option. They hold all the power, so they have no motivation to make their product work properly.

Here's the reason Adobe doesn't bother improving their Digital Editions apps: using Adobe digital rights management generates a truckload of money for them, and forces customers to use their software, no matter how bad it is:
