Problem: ADE starts, window does not appear but I can see a thumbnail in the taskbar

ADE starts but the main window doe not appear. I can see ADE in the taskbar and when I hover over it, see a thumbnail of the missing window. I eventually got so frustrated that I uninstalled ADE and reinstalled, same problem.

What's going on?

    Have you try to start with right click and run as admin?

    Yes, it does not make a difference.
