Problem downloading ebook from UK public library, to ADE 4.5

Question

Getting [library] error E_AUTH_BAD_DEVICE_KEY_OR_PKCS12. Library's Help suggests de-authorising and re-authorising computer (desktop, Windows 10). In ADE 4.5, am unable to erase authorisation of computer: get message "Unable to erase authorisation. Please try after some time". I have been downloading library e-books for years, this is the first time I've had this problem. Any suggestions?
