Problem getting kobo authorized

just loaded ADE.  Have downloaded a library book.  I can see my kobo in device list but cant drag and drop the book to it.  It is properly connected.  I have tried authorizing under the help drop down scree.  It does not work.,  Get error code E_AUTH_NOT_READY   server error.  What should I try?
