Problem opening an ebook

When I try to open an ebook I get the error

When I choose yes and try again to download the ebook I get the same error as above.

I've unistalled ADE 4.0, shutdown the  laptop, and then reinstalled ADE 4.0 but still see the above messages.  This is when downloading from EBL.  EBL report they have not seen the error before.  I can download a sample ebook from adobe.
