Problem with Adobe Digital Editions activation. (And very poor Adobe support)

Here is my problem. I installed ADE on my work computer some years ago, everything works fine. I had another laptop on which I also installed ADE with no problems at all, but that one died. I have a new home computer and when I installed ADE the DRM content that I already purchased do not sync. Nor can I download it manually from the vendors’ websites. I get something like a “this order was already fulfilled”.

I did a bit of work and I noticed this:

The Adobe ID urn:uuid:numbers is different on my work and home computer, even though I logged on same account.

So I go to https://helpx.adobe.com/support/digital-editions.html  and this is what I get:

"You can activate Digital Editions on six computers or mobile devices with one Adobe ID. If you reach the limit, contact us to reset your activations." 

 

I did not activate ADE on six computers, just on those three, one of them dead and another not working.

 

If I click on “contact us to reset your activations” I to Adobe virtual assistant chatbot, not a contact us to reset something. I eventually got to chat with human operators but every single one of them, after describing my problem, said “I’m sorry, I’m from the billings department and your concern unfortunately does not fall under my area of expertise. Let me get you in contact with one of my coleagues. Or you can refer to the forums”. The only chat operator somewhat helpful promissed me an e-mail from technical department in three to five business days. That was ten days ago.

 

So here I am, consulting the community. Is there anything I can do?
