*Problem with authorizing computer with new Digital Editions install.

I installed Digital Editions on my new laptop.  When I try to authorize my computer to communicate with my NOOK I get the message:  An Adobe ID with this email already exists.  After this I can go no further.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Digital Editions and the message does not change.  I do not know what to do next.

Open Adobe Digital Editions > Select the Library view > Hold down Ctrl+Shift+D and Deauthorize your computer. When finished, Adobe Digital Editions will close.

Reopen Adobe Digital Editions and run through the setup assistant and enter the correct Adobe ID and password.

If you have updated and entered the correct Adobe ID, the titles associated with this Adobe ID will now be viewable.

The computer now says it is authorized, but when I try to transfer downloaded library books to my NOOK Simple Touch I get this message: CE_COPY_NOT_ALLOWED. No permission to copy book.

This laptop has Windows 7. My previous laptop had Windows XP and did not have these issues.

Thank you for you assistance.
