problem with drm activator

I've just downloaded the most recent version of Adobe Reader 9. When I try to activate Reader through the DRM Activator page, I cannot open the EDN. The page says:

"If your browser asks you which application to use to open the downloaded file, you have not properly installed Adobe Reader or Acrobat version 6 or later. Please cancel the download and install one of these products."

I have tried re-installing and installing but nothing happens, no error, nothing. Just an EDN file that I cannot read even though software is installed correctly.

I'm running XP SP3

Please advise...

    i have same problems. activator site cannot detect any adobe product in my comp. I have bought ebook, and i have no idea how to open that. please help.
