problems moving digital book to Nook

I have a Mac, and have moved books successfully from my computer to my Nook before.  However, today, it jeeps "shutting down unexpectedly" during the move.  I have tried over 20 times, to no avail.  I have shut down and rebooted my computer.  I deleted the program and re-loaded it.  Nothing is working.  Please help.

    I'm having a similar problem with my PC Windows 8.1.  I have successfully downloaded a book to my computer but can't successfully move it to my Nook.  I get the error message:This book has been returned.  Loan not on record.  I have just downloaded the book to my computer and have 19 days left on borrowing the book.
