PROBLEMS opening some ebooks in sony ereader, error message "Protected by Digital Rights Management"

There are a dozen or so ebooks that I can't open in my sony ereader and I am not sure whether because there is only (1) adobe ID authorized on the ereader...whereas on my laptop / desktop, I can open these ebooks and the (2) adobe ID are authorized for the laptop computer.

If the solution is to add authorization of the 2^nd Adobe ID to the ereader, how can I go about getting the authorized added on?
