Purchased books don't appear on all devices

Hi,

I purchased a book on my cell phone. The pages are too small and I prefer to read the book on my computer. When I open the application on my computer, after completing authorization, the book is not there. I have erased authorization and put it back several times. I have also closed and reopened the application several times and nothing.

I was under the impression that we could view our eBooks on any device as long as we identify ourselves. Is this not the case?

What is the point of this application is we can only view our books on the device that made the purchase?

Please advise.
